Everyone in the vehicle pays the price for the number of seats filled, so each traveller who joins brings it down.

Prices are per person sharing a room; a room of your own is USD 50 more for the trip. You never pay more than the price quoted when you booked. A seventh traveller needs a second vehicle, so ask the operator for a price above six.

   Into the Wild Frontier

   Leave Arusha after breakfast and begin the scenic journey towards Mkomazi National Park, one of Tanzania’s lesser-visited wilderness areas. As the landscape changes from the busy surroundings of Arusha to open countryside and rugged wilderness, the adventure begins. After entering Mkomazi, enjoy your first game drive through the park, searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, oryx and other wildlife. Keep your eyes open for predators and the many bird species that call this area home. As the afternoon light softens, continue exploring before heading to your camp or lodge for a peaceful evening surrounded by nature.

   Crater descent and back to Arusha

   Rise early for your final morning in Mkomazi and head out for one last game drive while the wilderness is coming alive. The cool morning hours offer an excellent opportunity to search for wildlife and enjoy the park before the day becomes warmer. Take in the final views of Mkomazi’s open plains, forests and distant mountains, and make the most of every last moment in this peaceful wilderness. After the game drive, return for breakfast before beginning your journey back to Arusha. Along the way, enjoy the changing scenery and reflect on an experience that took you beyond Tanzania’s most famous safari routes and into a quieter side of the country.
