Day 2 — Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater

DAY 2 After breakfast at your Arusha lodge at 7:00 AM, depart at 8:00 AM for Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic 2–2.5-hour drive through Tanzania’s beautiful countryside. Arrive around 10:15 AM and enjoy a game drive, spotting elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and diverse birdlife. Pause for a picnic lunch at 12:30 PM before continuing your wildlife exploration in the afternoon. At around 3:30 PM, leave the park and transfer to your lodge in Karatu or the Lake Manyara area for check-in, relaxation and dinner, surrounded by Tanzania’s tranquil landscapes. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site before continuing your wildlife exploration. In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and return to your lodge in Karatu for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay, ready for the journey to Serengeti National Park the following day.

Day 4 — Karatu to Central Serengeti

The drive to Central Serengeti takes approximately 4–6 hours, with wildlife sightings and road conditions influencing arrival time. Upon entering the park, begin an exciting game drive across the vast savannah, searching for lions resting beneath acacia trees, elephants roaming the plains, giraffes, cheetahs and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site before continuing your wildlife adventure en-route to your camp, where further sightings may include leopards and hyenas.
