Prices are per person sharing a room; a room of your own is USD 240 more for the trip. You never pay more than the price quoted when you booked. A seventh traveller needs a second vehicle, so ask the operator for a price above six.

Your day-by-day itinerary

   Arusha to Tarangire

   6:30–7:00 AM: Depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. 9:00 AM: Enter the park and begin a morning game drive. 12:30 PM: Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic site. 1:30–4:00 PM: Continue your afternoon game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and lions. 4:00–5:00 PM: Leave the park and travel toward Karatu or the Ngorongoro area for the night. Overnight: Lodge or tented camp in Karatu or near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Safari highlight: Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and wildlife along the Tarangire River.

   Tarangire to Serengeti

   5:30–6:00 AM: Early breakfast and departure from the Karatu/Ngorongoro area. Morning: Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti, enjoying scenic landscapes and wildlife sightings along the way. 12:00–1:00 PM: Picnic lunch, depending on your route and park entry time. Afternoon: Game drive across the Serengeti plains to look for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and wildebeest. Evening: Dinner and overnight at Nyani camping site in the Serengeti. Overnight: Serengeti National Park. Safari highlight: The Serengeti is renowned for its big cats, expansive grasslands, and the Great Wildebeest Migration. The location of migrating herds varies by season

   Crater descent and back to Arusha

   Very early morning: Depart Serengeti for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This is a long transfer, so an early start is essential. Morning: Travel toward the crater and descend into the caldera for a game drive, subject to arrival time and park regulations. Midday: Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site. Afternoon: Search for zebras, buffaloes, elephants, lions, hippos, and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. Late afternoon: Drive back toward Arusha, or arrange an alternative departure based on your travel plans. Safari highlight: Ngorongoro Crater offers remarkable wildlife viewing within a dramatic volcanic landscape.
